Do you even know what a “skosh” is? I didn’t. Even my iPad kept wanting to correct the spelling… oh you must mean “slosh” right? No, you big dummy, it’s “skosh” and it means “a small amount… a little”, and it’s the brilliant anchor for this lyrical tale penned by my collaborator lyricist Paul.
As in, “I still love you a little bit after all this time… just a skosh”… which I had to lookup to learn how to sing it… does it rhyme with ‘most’ or ‘pot’?
Anyway, I found some nice video clips and sewed them together to express how the story made me feel, and it didn’t really seem to matter which ‘couple segment’ made to proclamation, so, well, as is my nature, I took turns, ha!
Enjoy the music video, or as I like to re-imagine it… my movie montage (I was a film score composer graduate haha)… it’s one of Paul’s favorite ‘videos’, oops I mean ’montages’ , so far!
P.s. I like the deep string section in the chorus… it’s the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, recorded at the Teldex Scoring Stage in Berlin

A LITTLE BIT OF ME
Its been eons since I held you
In my arms my heart so true
But lately I’ve been thinking about
You as just some one that I once knew
Like a car stalled in cold weather
For so long wished you would stay
Gone now my years of devotion
Times swept feelings away
Here we go down life’s highway
You’re fading in review
Yes there’s a skosh of joy in sadness
And a little bit of me still loves you
Don’t call a lion a house cat
Though both have whiskers true
Yes there’s a skosh of joy in sadness
And a little bit of me still loves you
Were you all I imagined
Was I blind to some flaws
If asked why I loved you
I may say well just because
Like a star falling you watch
Everyone makes a secret wish
Angled backwaters together
Now I just throw back the fish
Here we go down life’s highway
You’re fading in review
Yes there’s a skosh of joy in sadness
And a little bit of me still loves you
Don’t call a lion a house cat
Though both have whiskers true
Yes there’s a skosh of joy in sadness
And a little bit of me still loves you
A little bit of me still loves you
